Hey guys, so I have HDFVR running on Red5 so I cant change the location that the recorded files save to. I have been trying to setup JWPlayer using this link http://www.longtailv...er-setup-wizard for the past few days. I have tried using an RTMP stream with it, regular FLV video with rtmp infront of the link, nothing is working. I have gotten various errors such as Failed at step 5, file not found, Unauthorized domain. Could someone Get the right configuration for me? My video files are stored in this location exactly: rtmp://mydomain/hdfvr/streams/_definst_/videoStream_1348882072954_753.flv I have tried it without the FLV, without the Definst folder, everything. Thanks.

Make sure you follow this JW Media Player on Streaming video trough RTMP to set it up to play videos from a media server like FMS, Red5 or Wowza:

We've just written a small guide on playing flv files recorded with HDFVR trough streaming using JW Player 5.1:

I've just tested JW Player 6 locally by playing a file from the hdfvr app on my Adobe Media Server install and it worked.

Here's my JW Player 6 code:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<script type="text/javascript" src="jwplayer.js" ></script>
</head>
<body>
<div id="myElement">Loading the player ...</div>
<script type="text/javascript">
	jwplayer("myElement").setup({
		file: "rtmp://localhost/hdfvr/mp4:videoStream_1368861125358_71.mp4",
		height: 405,
		image: "",
		width: 720
	});
</script>
</body>
<html>

What media server are you using?

Wowza with build 505 of HDFVR (non Transcoder one)
I've also tested it on Wowza with build 505 of HDFVR (non Transcoder one) and it worked with the same code above.

Wowza with build 508 of HDFVR (Transcoder one)
When using build 508 (Transcoder one) make sure you play through the hdfvr_play app like this:
rtmp://localhost/hdfvr_play/mp4:videoStream_1368861125358_71.mp4

Build 508 of hdfvr has <StreamType>live-record</StreamType> in Application.xml and playback will not work directly from the hdfvr app in this build.
