1. The ability to assign emoticons to different entries.

For example:
<img src='http://avchathq.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />/>/> <img src='http://avchathq.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />/>/> ;p ;P
would show the same emoticon. This would prevent us having to duplicate entries into the emoticons.xml file and as a result have those emoticons showing up twice when you bring up the emoticon list.

2. An option to allow more than one "Buzz" button. A submenu that reads "Buzz" entries from an xml file. Icon support would also be handy but even a basic list of "Actions" would be a great start. Example "Actions -> Buzz / Poke / Quack / Whinny / Salute. Each action pointing to a *.wav file in the sounds folder. This adds a level of depth not otherwise attained with just one sound alone.

3. An in-chat HELP button that loads an iFrame containing html content we point it to.

4. The ability to set a default sort order for Rooms (rid, creator, users, private)

5. A few blank variables on the user menu to show information in at our discretion with our integrations. Right after the ignore preferably. We could integrate Age, Country, etc without altering the usernames in the list and keeping the flag icon for whatever purpose we require.

6. Various outdated style changes. Styling itself is somewhat restrictive.

7. Improved moderator implementation with "moderator" icons, a ban system that people can user on a per-channel basis, the ability for channel moderators to "promote" other people to moderator as well so their channel is not run by 1 person alone, giving those channels a chance to take hold and grow a following on the server.

8. The ability for rooms to be "preserved" from the client itself. Writing those changes to the avchat3.properties file so that upon a server restart those channels remain.

9. The option to only be able to see the cams of people they are in a channel with. This is a very important one! My website has many, many beautifuln women on it and has been subject to perverts coming in trying to use that for their benefit almost constantly. With this loophole open these disgusting men join the main channel, open up 12 cams (my limit), create a private channel, leave the main channel and still have 12 cams opened up of girls who have no idea they are being creeped on still from somewhere that they cannot see. I -NEED- the option of having cam windows close relevant to the channel when someone enters/exits that channel.

Example:
Room A: Bob, Jim
Room B: Tom, Harry
Room C: Jon, Teddy

When in all rooms, user can see all 6 cams.

Case 1: User leaves Room A, Bob / Jim's cams close as the user is no longer in a chat channel with them.

Case 2: User leaves Room C and Room B, Tom / Harry / Jon / Teddy's cams close as the user is no longer in a chat channel with them.

This seems like more of a bug / security flaw / oversight than a suggestion.

i 2nd all of it

and add the ability to have a live stream on a users profile if you have integrations kit so users on the site can see your cam on your site and when they click it it goes to your chatroom.

Added #9 which I consider a severe bug, security risk, and oversight.

Wow. Thanks for breaking it down JLammi.

5. A few blank variables on the user menu to show information in at our discretion with our integrations. Right after the ignore preferably. We could integrate Age, Country, etc without altering the usernames in the list and keeping the flag icon for whatever purpose we require.

I'd love to see that please.

The creator of a room should be able to restrict access to certain genders and maybe also to certain optional values as suggested in item 5 above, so we can have a room only for admins or a room only for women or only for adults. This would greatly improve the usability of the chat.

Hi JLammi and thank you for the suggestions. here are my comments on a few of them.

This is something we'll be doing for the next build.

4. The ability to set a default sort order for Rooms (rid, creator, users, private)

This feature has been added in build 2471: http://avchathq.com/...oom-moderation/ .

6. Various outdated style changes. Styling itself is somewhat restrictive.

We'll start improoving the design soon too.

7. Improved moderator implementation with "moderator" icons, a ban system that people can user on a per-channel basis.

These are part of the latest build as well.

8. The ability for rooms to be "preserved" from the client itself. Writing those changes to the avchat3.properties file so that upon a server restart those channels remain.

Rooms are stored in presistent shared objects so restarting the server will not reset the list.

This sounded like a bug so I just tested the scenario in our online demo. As soon as you leave a room you stop looking at the people in that room with one exception: you continue to see the people who are with you in other rooms you are in (If Bob is broadcasting in Room A and B and you are in both rooms as well, you continue to see it if you leave room A because you are both in Room B ).

Grateful so many of these are implemented now -- wondering if any more will make it to future releases. :)
