Ability to specify links and images as NSFW. (Not Safe For Work.) An NSFW image would be anything that contains pornography, could be offensive, etc.

For example, if I'm going to post a link or an image, I should have a button I can click to label it as NSFW before I post it.

Then, a setting in avc_settings will decide whether or not a particular user will see NSFW images. (For example, UserCanSeeNSFWContent)

This way, we can integrate with our user database and decide whether or not a user should see NSFW images based upon their age or preferences set elsewhere.

A button could be added to the chat for the user to turn on/off NSFW images as well (as long as the button can be removed in avc_settings.)

This way, we can allow users of chat to post adult content without offending those in the audience who would rather not see it (or who legally shouldn't be seeing it!)

Please make it so either:

A: The admin can specify the exact number of days and hours to use when placing a user ban.

or

B: We can specify in avc_settings what lengths of time admins will have to choose from for user bans. An array could be specified which will populate the drop box.

As it stands, there just aren't enough options available. For instance, there's a ban for a week and a ban for a month. There's a huge gap there. What if I already banned a user for a week and the next time they cause trouble, wish to make it two weeks instead of immediately jumping to a month? You could just add in a two week option (which would be helpful) but it would make more sense to let us control precisely how long we wish the bans to be.

Thanks.

That would work for when Uploading stuff, because we can put a checkbox in the UPLOAD window. But I am not sure how it could work for links to images posted in the chat that are automatically previewed.

Ability to specify in avc_settings file the default font color and style for users. Preferably using hexadecimal color codes. For example, #FFFFFF for white, plus settings for bold, itallics, etc.

This way, we could have some color other than black as the default color and choose a custom style for the default text!

Of course, the default would be overridden if the user has already chosen a color / font that is stored in a cookie.

By default AVChat assigns every user a random color (if there's no color stored in the cookies), but if you set $avconfig['toggleRandomColors']=0; in avc_settings.php the color used will be black.

- Adding additional administrators does not require a red5 restart.
- Preserving AVChat rooms does not require a red5 restart.

All settings in avchat3.properties (Red5/Wowza) or settings.asc (FMS) need a server restart when changing. That's the way it is.

Couldn't you just have it so that if the checkbox in the upload box was checked it would show up in chat:
"[NSFW]: Thumbnail disabled, this image has been deemed not safe for work. Click to view!"

That's fine, thank you for clearing up the issue.

Wouldn't it be possible to make a variable similar to
$avconfig['defaultChatColor']='#FFFFFF'; or something along the lines and have the chat use the color specified when $avconfig['toggleRandomColors']=0; rather than just defaulting to black?

Yes that's doable bu what if I post directly in the chat a link to a NSFW image like this:
http://avchat.net/nsfw.jpg

The image will be automatically previewed by AVChat.

I understand Octavian, but a community where NSFW images are a concern should by rights have the thumbnails turned off by default to help uphold that aspect of their chat. One would think anyway hehe. :)

This isn't an issue on my site currently, I was just offering suggestions. Keep up the great work! Can we expect monthly releases all year?

Looking forward to the betas.

One solution would be to allow a code for NSFW images. For example, if the user enters:

[NSFW]http://www.somelink.com/somepic.jpg[/NSFW]

Any users who have disabled NSFW images would not see anything (preferably). Any others would see the thumbnail inline. You could even have a button (which could be added / removed based on avc_settings) which pops up a window for the user to enter a NSFW link to save the extra typing.

Please make sure that viewing of NSFW images and links can also be disabled or enabled for any user through avc_settings. This way, I can integrate with my user database and allow people to opt out of seeing such images and / or prevent minors from seeing such images. For instance, if ['CanViewNSFWContent'] is set to '0' then the user will never see any NSFW links or images. Thank you!

What I'm saying is I'd like for a setting like $avconfig['UserDefaultColor'] = #FFF444. Then, based on integration with a database, I could give a certain default color to any user. Admins could have a certain default color. I could allow users to pick a color outside of the AVChat interface that would be stored in a database permanently. There are many uses for such controls.

Basically, instead of assinging the user a random color (if no color is stored in cookies), why not let me integrate with my database and decide what color to give to a user in such a case? We could also set default fonts and sizes. What I'm recommending here is per user, not a setting which changes the appearance of the whole chat.

How about having an option in the userlist submenu where we could set someone to "Autodock". Just a checkbox even. This way, when someone turns their cam on it will automatically open. Handy for busy chats where people are popping in / out all of the time. You could store the people set to Autodock in a flash cookie so it always remembers.

It seems simple to add and would be a unique, and new feature. :)

Would really, really like to be able to have my users ignore my admins. I've been requesting it for almost a year. If you guys could squeeze it in somewhere sometime soon. :/

Show WHO kick / ban in text chat ...

User XXXX has been kicked by AAAAAAA

This option of course, should be enabled or disabled by avc_settings.

Also, I've been screaming this one forever, it's really simple and sort of annoying that it doesn't already work this way:

When a thumbnail appears inline in chat, we should be able to click the thumbnail to go to the full sized image or link. As it stands, we have to click the link itself. The user should be able to click either.
